Reservations and Roundabouts

This is what you will find in the roundabout of the quiet Bed & Breakfast.

Being on "Chemin Gros-Cap", we are close of "La Table des Roy". This restaurant will delight you. It is known to be the best restaurant of the Island and one of the top in the province of Quebec. A little advice though, reserve before you arrive. (418-986-3004)

On the road where we are is the famous restaurant "La Factrie", where in a cafeteria atmosphere you can eat lobsters and sea-food products. On the first floor is the "coopérative" of the fishermen, where you can make provisions of a thousand and one products from the sea. It is also a good idea to reserve in advance. (418-986-2710)

Other restaurants are near by, either at "l'Étang-du-Nord, at the market place where you will find a marvelous little café with some good food, or at Cap-aux-Meules at "La Patio" where you can eat a superb seafood pizza with "béchamel" sauce. If you prefer this pizza with tomato sauce its at "Decker Boy" restaurant in Fatima that you will find it. Those restaurants are less then 10 min. away by car.

Other cafés are situated in Cap-aux-Meules and I am sure that you will find them. But if you want to know everything about the Island and listen to the accents, have the eyes charmed by the strongly marked faces of the fishermen, its at "Tim Horton" that you must go. The Islanders call the place "Info-Tim", it is a mine of information...

Not very far from home there is the golf course, "La Martinique" and "Gros-Cap" beaches, the market place of "l'Étang-du-Nord" with art galleries and all those charming little boutiques that will leave you in awe. On Saturday, you can go in Cap-aux-Meules market place where you will find expositions by the local craftsmen and you can even buy handmade postcards made of sand and flowers from Hughette, my friend.

The Bed & Breakfast is not far from the cycling path, and the cliffs of "La Belle-Anse". The lagoon excursions, the smoke house, the sea excursions, the horse rides etc., are all in "Havre-aux Maisons" all within a 10 min. ride by car. At "Havre-aux Maisons" there is a little restaurant with a look not much in his favor but with good food and a special atmosphere. You can eat in a private cabin, the ones lovers would like to find a bit more... "Le Sablier". (418-969-9299)

For the rest, we will talk about it later.
